AllMusic

The slick and skillful True Colors is built for fans of Zedd's music rather than his social media followers.

Ultimately, Zedd’s True Colors shows the guy is brilliant at what he does, and for those who want to get all in their feelings on the way to a festival or to soundtrack a beach date with bae (or a group of friends), this will be the disc to keep on repeat.

SPIN

On True Colors, each track tries to be a separate statement as Zedd tries to crash through his own, pre-existing glass ceiling — but the whole falls short of the sum of its parts.

Rolling Stone

True Colors, Zedd's second LP, includes songs about love, breakups and seizing the day, but the real subject is always his enormous beats.

While it’s worked in the past, it feels like the primary colors Zedd tends to paint with feel faded.

I know this is Guilty Pressure.
But... Zedd's True Colors is fatally underrated.

Highlights : Done With Love, Daisy, Papercut or I Want You To Know
Worst : Bumble Bee

Unlike most electronic albums, the drops are consistent and satisfactory. Unfortunately though, I didn't enjoy how the color concept of the album was the only thing keeping it from being a bore, with most tracks giving off royalty free vibes. It's not horrible by any means, but I came in expecting a ... read more
