Arcturian

After a ten year hiatus, Arcturus return with another Vortex fronted album. This record sounds a lot like the previous, with some extra progressive elements added in. While it has it's moments, I just think it's one of the safest records they have put out. Nothing here comes off as wildly experimental or zany, which is kind of a letdown. Even still, I think the songwriting is more consistent than Sideshow Symphonies but doesn't necessarily touch their greatest works.
