Is there something that can stop Alice when he decides to focus on making a hard rock album? Man, at least like 'Trash', no. His Halloween-ish nature is still present mostly on lyrics from songs like "This Maniac's In Love With You", but musically, you feel more of the glam metal influence than properly the feeling of his 70s stuff. Honestly I cannot remember a single part of this record other than the opener. Alice Cooper's delivery as well as the riffs were nice, but nothing really popped. It seems to be a trend as I go down the road of dad rock in the mornings at work that it just fizzles into white noise. At least it wasn't as bad as Bon Jovi.


Following the airing of a PBS program focused on Big Black's seminal Songs About Fucking LP and its failure to delivery the lusty, sexy goods, Alice Cooper dialed up cliche' genius Desmond Child to help him finish the job that Steve Albini failed to start so many years earlier. And if I may speak for the entire world for a moment, I'd say that the results speak for themselves:
