If anything, Forever in Your Heart is the freakish magnum opus of Black Dresses, sure to inspire the next generation of experimental musicians and fans.

Black Dresses go harder than ever before on their first post-disbandment album.

After their sudden dissolution last year, the Toronto noise duo return just as suddenly with a new album. Like their previous work, it’s full of pain, dissociation, and hopelessness—and surprisingly, a new tranquility.

The phrase “No rose is without a thorn” rings true for fewer artists more than Black Dresses; and typical for Black Dresses fashion, emotionally distressed lyrics and awkwardly lovable vocals meet explosive, visceral, and ear-splitting noise on what is possibly their most well-rounded release yet.

I've never listened to Black Dresses, but after this album i am fully sold on their hype. This is some of the most creative electro-industrial metal/rock I've heard in a long ass time, which is refreshing considering how the genre has been mostly stagnant in recent years. This is really a 2021 must listen and a requirement of you're a lover of abrasive industrial records.

Black Dresses are a Canadian duo, consisting of Devi McCallion and Ada Rook. In just two years, between 2018 and 2020, they released four albums before disbanding due to harassment.
