Forever Isn't Long Enough is a pretty respectable debut album. Alfie Templeman isn't necessarily doing anything super revolutionary or ground-breaking as disco revival has been done to death at this point. For what it is though, FILE is an airtight 30-minute pleasant, upbeat experience (up until the last song that is, that one's pretty sad). There aren't many dips in quality across its runtime either and it doesn't overstay its welcome like most indie-pop albums tend to nowadays.

FAVORITE TRACK: Film Scene Daydream

LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: Everybody's Gonna Love Somebody

Long overdue, Alfie Templeman finally releases his debut LP. Templeman has been an artist coming up strong in the indie pop scene over the last year. His last EP, Happiness in Liquid Form, was a pretty enjoyable- albeit pretty mundane- pop record. For Forever Isn't Long Enough, I was hoping Templeman would bring more- whether it's in vocals, instrumentals or lyrics.

I really like this. Shady and Forever ... read more

Clocking in at 8 tracks and 30 minutes long, Alfie Templeman’s debut album is a short but sweet pop confection. Templeman flexes his multi-instrumental and production skills to create an enjoyable experience even if the sound he’s going for is little derivative at this point. Strong rhythmic bass lines are the anchor that hold down tracks like “Shady” and the title track. The incredibly funky “Wait, I Lied” is one of my personal favourites here; Templeman ... read more

Alfie Templeman is the latest artist to join the nostalgic disco genre that has experienced a resurgence over the past couple years. What the LP lacks in originality it makes up for in its infectiousness and if Alfie can improve on some of the weaker aspects of the album, I think he could make an incredible album

FAV: Shady, Forever Isn't Long Enough, Hideaway, Wait, I Lied
LEAST FAV: One More Day

The 18-year-old's first mini-album is a colourful, groovy sophisticated experience. The high-quality production is incorporated in every single second of this best pop release of the year so far, even though the songwriting and vocals sometimes stumble.

Alfie Templeman is a new name in my Spotify library. He has already released some EPs and singles from this mini-album, but I can say he is still a new artist. Well, obviously as he is only 18 years old ... just a few months elder than me. ... read more

There's some nice odes to disco and funk here, but it lacks anything new and is pretty repetitive. Kids got potential tho.

the track list progressively got better, but it's just forgettable indie pop overall.

Alfie served edgy quality here! "Forever Isn't Long Enough" is exactly what a teenager is looking for in dream pop/pop/indie pop music. The beats are groovy, his voice is catchy and the lyrics are youthful like him. Cute project ≈(♡ω♡)

An album that I was looking forward to. I discovered Alfie Templeman watching MTV Hits, when they showed “Everybody’s Gonna Love Somebody”, the video clip made me fall in love with the song, one of the best videos of the year. Fortunately the song overcame the love of video and became one of my favorite songs during March-April, that fueled my desire to want to hear his complete work.

The album has a great production, and some "renowned" artists would like to sound ... read more

the british singer's debut album has its faults and successes. it has interesting tracks and M E H tracks but it has its charm the use of 80's and 70's albums is recycled so much that to stand out you have to create something entertaining and interesting not necessarily revolutionary. this one fulfills that ambit it is entertaining and has some interesting tracks even if it is not "what's your pleasure". It's like that teen comedy movie that's not more of the same but it entertains.

If it deepened its moods more, I’m sure this album would soar. Would’ve done better with some more shining vocals performances, but has a notable sound that isn’t crazy fresh but also is not a super basic chill feel.

The vocals are pretty stagnant and unflowing in “Shady”. The continuous beat interrupts the color that could pop better without it. There is lots of color in the title track, and while the vocals have plain phrasing at times, can be tuneful actually. ... read more
