Ashley Monroe stepped out of her critically acclaimed country box with Rosegold. It has the classic charm she’s mastered with her previous work plus new and edgier elements. After listening I’m not sure where to categorize it. Maybe it’s not as well received but it’s a definite sign of artistic growth.

Ashley Monroe’s newest record Rosegold sees her delving more into contemporary pop than her previous country tinged albums, exploring new sounds and narratives of love, heartbreak and relationships. Lead single Drive is the perfect track to listen to on days out on the road, making great use of some pretty beautiful harmonies and melodies.
