Some post-hardcore, metalcore and melodic hardcore mix that blends together really good except on the slower parts, which are a bit embarrassing and bland.
I expect with multiple listens that this will grow on me. That said, this group comes from the same record label as Spiritbox, and the production is very impressive. The musicianship is also really engaging and full of great melodies combined with ferocious harsh vocals. The vocals might be the biggest turnoff for some, but I'm overall very impressed with this album.
I want to say that I like this album. I really, really do. Unfortunately, this album has 1 huge downfall: the unclean vocals. They are some of the worst I have heard complementary to amazing instrumentals. My ears literally hurt when some of the songs play. It also hurts me to say something like this, but all parts of the band need to be on a certain level, and this one is just not.
