"Outlaws and the Cops" is def one of my fav songs so far this year. This reminds me of the nuggets comp a bit, mixed in with some freak folk. I also think of Juan Wauters' The Beets, who did some great lo-fi garage folk if you are into that sort of thing. Reminds me of lots of fun stuff.

lo-fi as all get out. Get high and sing along, it doesn't matter if you don't know the words.

delightfully trippy freak folk that reminds me of The Incredible String Band and similar psych folk bands, but with piano and violins. it's silly but maximally entertaining. they run through 10 songs in a little over 30 minutes, so it never has a chance to hit a low point. best songs are "Classical Antiquity Sunsets" (there has to be a GBV song with this title somewhere among their 138 or however many albums), "Outlaws and the Cops", which put me in mind of the old New ... read more
