The album title comes from the Cerrone disco hit of the same name though the song was not covered. Goldfrapp wanted to continue with the successful sound they had created with Black Cherry but heighten it to by melding glam rock and disco as well being influenced by artists such as Blondie, Elton John, Donna Summer, T. Rex and Roxy Music.

Not far from where we've left them, this time, they choose the synthetic simplicity for their glam-pop, which is always on the run for confirmation that never comes.
