For fans of stoner rock, some great riffs and a heavy but chilled vibe.

High Country reveals a more mellow side of The Sword, with less aggressive psychadelic metal, but dare I say, more Tame Impala-feeling pop? There's some folk metal feeling to it too, but above all else, there seems to be a playful side of The Sword, and thus, a fun album to enjoy.

I'm by means a metal fan. But, with The Sword I find a sound that invites me to listen and holds my attention without further alienating me from the genre. There is a chilled vibe that permeates this CD. But, the parts I love best are when they throw into high gear and take their listener on an epic thrill ride of sonic wonderment.
