Overall, on ‘Scary Hours 2’ Drake sounds less like an artist with something to prove and more like a title defender who might finally be willing to challenge himself again.

Nobody will agree with this, but i'll say it, Drake is one of, if not the most overhated rapper for a few years now.

Now, Scorpion wasn't good, and Views was mid, but lately he has been putting out some dope ass projects and people seem to still hate the shit out of them just because it's Drake and he's like the most mainstream rapper you could think of. I mean, it's fine. Track 1 is horrid with a Walmart Carti beat that sucks complete ass, but track 2 and 3 are much better although Lemon Pepper Freestyle feels somewhat standard for Drake. I'll probably bump Wants and Needs for like a week and then forget about it although if any track sounds like a hit here it's that one. As someone who liked Dark Lane Demo Tapes quite a bit, this isn't blowing me out of the water and getting me super hyped for CLB. Far from Drake's best stuff, but better than ... read more

Drake is back in town baby, but who asked for him to come here?

Quite honestly, I have to admit Drake's on the upwards stride at the moment. Post the Pusha beef that turned his commercial viability and respect upside-down, and a huge chain of mediocrity in the form of Scorpion, a filler-prone project that doesn't even breach the 50 mark on my rating scale, he's been trying his best to revive his whole image, and that deserves some respect?
