Many times, records consisiting of unreleased tracks and various outtakes from a band feel useless and empty, not this one.
In 1969, the Velvets recorded 14 tracks for a fourth album that was never released, till the mid-80's when Verve found the tapes and made an intriguing simulation of the lost album.
One of the greatest VU songs ever recorded (Stephanie Says) and 9 other rather forgettable ones. Still, mostly solid and better than it needed to be.
Stephanie Says - 70
Foggy Nation – 75
Temptation Inside Your Heart – 65
One of These Days – 85
I’m Sticking with You – 65
A lot of B-Side album really just fail to keep me interested and you can really see why they throw them away from their albums but VU by The Velvet Underground really just doesn't do that to me, every song on here is so charming and always keeps me interested, which provides a really fun experience.
