Canadian Blues-Rock duo from Windsor ON find their groove with their 2nd album. Still heavy rocking but with more R&B and Hip-Hop influences shining through. It's funky, and full of killer pop hooks and some lighter moments. Diverse and sonically satisfying. Love it.
EDIT: I kept getting ‘One By One’ stuck in my head so I’ve revisited my score and had a couple more listens and I think I’m finally getting a decent amount of enjoyment from this chilled out pop-rock album. It may not be setting the world on fire but it works for an arvo chill and the slightly 90s hip-hop and r&b grooves make me pretty relaxed while the catchiness makes the songs memorable enough to earn a light 7/10

Extremely lame and derivative. I get that they were trying to experiment with some pop hooks and hip hop verses, but they just all come up extremely lame. This records basically reminds me of Smoke + Mirrors era imagine dragons, and that’s not a compliment

I shouldn’t but I like this. It’s very fun, in a stupid way. The album goes for a very explosive Imagine Dragons-esque sound but it does it really well. The songs aren’t too cluttered to the point where the explosions are cheesy, which is why Imagine Dragons aren’t great. It’s a great example of a very fun yet not very innovative modern rock album. If only it didn’t have Careless and Grim.
