Throughout Sparkles & Debris, Lydia Ainsworth clearly attempts to move her craft forward. And although she howls on the title track, "I've got nothing to prove," the tracks that fail to connect with the listener tell a completely different story.
This album exudes charm to levels unimaginable. You find every melody and harmonization to be so endearing. It feels like an old friend paid a visit inside your tiny little room and made it so much brighter and spacier.
There’s something so uniquely enticing about Canadian singer songwriter Lydia Ainsworth that I can’t seem to pin point to one thing. She has a very intriguing vocal style that is layered between interesting and sometimes experimental song structures that I have been really enjoying throughout her new album Sparkles & Debris.
