I had no idea who this artist was until today. And I am pretty fucking blown away. This is real good shit. I never curse when I make reviews. That's when you know how much I like it. This the kinda dark shit I'm looking for, just like Nicole Dollanganger's Natural Born Losers. Kinda bummed this is just an EP. That last part during Two-Headed Mother, I wanted her to ontinue that to make it an album. I also can't help but notice how her voice reminds me of Lana Del Rey and Banks. Merging goth rock's melodrama with southern gothic imagery, Hayden Anhedönia's new EP is cavernous stadium rock for the bathroom floor. The somber guitar melodies and brutally honest lyrics make for a difficult but rich listening experience. Domestic violence, wealth inequality, and addiction haunt the edges of these tracks, and Anhedönia's revels in the grime of past trauma. Ethel Cain is a new breed of artist despite being influenced by Lana del Rey her music aesthetic scares me but forget it Inbred is a Good EP to come out this year the power in her vocals and the overall vibes each song gives will wet your appetite for a LP
