There’s something about the vocal phrasing here that makes this feel incredibly fresh and fun.

"Rock n roll never dies." As they graced their trophy for this year's Eurovision Song Contest, those were the exact words that Italian rock quartet Måneskin preached, and "Teatro d'ira - Vol. I" definitely affirms the band's devotion to the phrase. The album begins with an explosive song like "Zitti e Buoni" that we already know well to be THE song that won Sanremo 2021.
With "Coraline", we hear what is the essence of an album like this. A powerful lyrics, like the instrumental itself. The singer’s voice gives the song even more anguish. Your stomach may wriggle when you listen to this song. Five minutes of wonderful agony. My favorite of the album.

It's a lot better than their new record for sure. It actually has agressive, explosive moments that aren't watered down for the commercial audience. Actually has a purity to it, a realness. Still isn't the most cutting-edge rock record ever or anything, but it's at least very solid.
