An energetic and poetic melding of jazz, contemporary rock, and a soulful, heartfelt voice, layered over clever and vibrant storylines. She has so much fun with the instrumentation that it never seems to stay in place for more than 15 seconds, keeping the sound constantly fresh. The only drawback is that the album doesn't end strong and that her high pitches can sometimes be a little grating.
