The band is on fire for the entirety of the short-and-savage Perfect, balancing that joyous pop-punk that made Patience such a jam but still proving they can shred when necessary.
The two punk cuts are okay, but the other songs are fantastic. I love the writing, vocals, and guitar work. The wailing vocals on 'To Lose You' are amazing. That's easily the best song here.
This is a really solid EP. Whether the tracks are heavy and in your face or more laid back and vocal-focused, they all sound really good. I really wish this project was longer, and that's usually a sign that an EP is really good.

‘Perfect’ has blistering 90s punk fire and ‘To Lose You’ is melodically rising and poppy. ‘Pigs Is Pigs’ gets a massive nod from me for it’s Turnstile swagger.

I was recently fortunate enough to see Japanese Breakfast live on tour, and Mannequin Pussy was their opening set! I hadn’t heard their music before then, but they put on a fantastic performance full of personality and energy, so I figured it would be worth checking them out.
