Let me just start off by saying that while I have a lot to praise on this album, I will admit I have little to no objectivity reviewing this. Beartooth are one of my favorite bands ever, mostly because they deliver riffage that I like and have catchy melodies. Their lyrics also help out a lot. It's easy to call them the AC/DC of metalcore because they pretty much rinse and repeat all of their songs and it can be almost impossible to tell them apart sometimes. Cookie cutter Hardcore.

I guess as positives these guys can actually write a chorus and some of the breakdowns are fairly decent. There’s absolutely no pretension here too which I kinda respect. This record really is lowest common denominator stuff, tho.

Fav Track: The Last Riff
Least Fav Track: Fed Up

This is kinda a ambitious record that this album is kinda from mainstream-pop grunge roots to it's more alt rock, metalcore-oriented

And almost all ... read more

A band I used to love, trying to mix their unique style with some classic metal riffs and it really doesn’t work for me. Pop metal style was quite fun in previous works but it feels like they’re just putting a darker mask over the same stuff.
There are some decent tracks in there but they’re so samey at that. And oh my, that riff in no return is so disgusting (not a pun-just bad)

Saying that, there’s some pretty interesting stuff on tracks like hell of it, just not ... read more

Yawn. The most frustratingly redundant band in modern metal is back with more of the same. Still, Caleb can write some killer riffs, and there's surprisingly more of them this time around.

Highlights (chronological): Below, Dominate, Phantom Pain, Hell Of It, The Last Riff
