Like wandering around a city, looking for answers. Cars and people don’t stop moving for you, yet you keep soul searching anyway. You never find a direct answer, but you don’t need to. That’s the best way I can describe the improvisation on this album. It always has a purpose and a goal, but it doesn’t always reach that. Nah, fr though this album is a collection of very loose and emotive jams focused on texture and mood. I especially liked the drum work on here, everyone had complete artistic freedom and I admire that. It makes for some gorgeous and unique moments that are reminiscent of Captain Beefheart’s work. Really enjoy these dudes' music. I need another 'Caught on Tape', preferably with Thurston.
From bandcamp: "Sadly, many will hear [this] LP as 'not-jazz,' though it would be more aptly described as 'not-not-jazz'". This time, the two apparently recorded separately for the most part, and it's incredible how well these jams come together.

Just from the opening ting of the guitar and hit of a snare you get mesmerized by the sounds Chris Corsano & Bill Orcutt create on their collaborative album Made Out of Sound.
