Microtonal metal on a custom refretted guitar in an unconventional tuning—the concept is very interesting, and I’d like to see Vivian sharpen the idea to a razor’s edge because I think it could become something very special. I actually would rate this higher but the front two songs feel kinda weak to me. But the tail end (especially Oscines which may just be a masterpiece) is fucking great!
