I really wanted to like this, especially being a BH fanboy, but this.. this is not it.

Don't get me wrong, I like 2 tracks on this EP, but my god does it feel so flat. I wouldn't say it sounds uninspired, because it does, but the execution is pretty bad.

Not big hopes for the future project if it stays the same energy as this, big sad as BH usually scouts some pretty promising talent (e.g. Dom Fike).

Knowing that both Kevin and Romil of BROCKHAMPTON had a hand in this makes this twice as disappointing than it would have been had they had no involvement with the result being the same.

Never having heard the blossom before i found myself interested what Kevin and Romil would do and where they may take her sound and production but i found myself a bit underwhelmed. This is very boring and feels a little half baked not really having anything that stands out. Considering the members of brockhampton that were apart of this project this is very disappointing but hopefully in the future they can innovate and come up with some more standout production and performances.

Ahhhh I don't like the direction THE BLOSSOM is taking here...

I really liked THE BLOSSOM's first EP with its blend of bedroom pop and shoegaze which made for a unique listen. I also liked their single HARDCORE HAPPY which is one of my favourite songs of the year so far. Shortly after THE BLOSSOM signed to Kevin Abstract's label Video Store, their first EP got taken off Spotify which I found quite disappointing.
