A debut replete with seductive songs, signature vocals, and intriguing lyrical forays. Hopefully, To Enjoy Is the Only Thing will receive the attention it deserves. More pressingly, hopefully Zietsch will be blessed with continued inspiration and relative equanimity as she navigates the caprices of pop culture.
Australian singer-songwriter Maple Glider gives me strong Angel Olsen and Sharon Van Etten vibes on her debut album To Enjoy is the Only Thing. One of my favorite indie folk albums to come out this year and for the recent years honestly. It is up to par with artists similar to Maple Glider like Weyes Blood and even Phoebe Bridgers. You also can get easily hooked with the melodies and the swooning production.
