If you like jazzy boom bap and you haven't heard this album yet, YOU ARE DOING YOURSELF A DISSERVICE. This is ear candy for East Coast heads, you'll spot all sorts of samples you recognize. Skyzoo is a great voice to lead through it all, too, such a satisfying listen with a noticeable lack of bad or mid songs. Culture-ish into Bed-Study Is Burning is some of the best rap this year, I swear. I almost can't tell if this album is more uplifting or cynical, there's a good display of both.

I think I prefer his 2 EPs of 2020 and LP from 2019 with Pete Rock, but if you're a big fan of his, you're probably going to go all-in on this one too. It's a very solid release as is expected from Mello Music Group, though falls somewhat flat like the label's "Bushido" LP. A very tastefully made Boom Bap Rap album that should be very pleasing to die hard East Coast fans. Might not be drastically different from his past work, but his voice and words are as likable as they’ve always been.
