Beats Per Minute

My Head is an Animal is a highly impressive debut that’s full of emotional lyrics, lush, diverse instrumentation, and a powerful and dynamic male/female vocals.

My Head Is An Animal deserves the attention it is getting, because it is a well-crafted, spirited debut album with soaring choruses and delicious harmonies.

Even with a few skipable tracks, though, Of Monsters and Men bring an Icelandic exoticism and captivating energy to U.S. audiences on My Head is an Animal.

The thing that's most impressive about the album is that there's not even a trace of filler

Worst kind of "indie" for lovers of radio hits like pitbull, despacito, enrique iglesias etc.

entry level indie music, a gateway to something greater

OMAM manage to access and paint some pretty unique undertones in this album. An album about nothing that can get you thinking about pretty much everything.

This album is basically a charming walk through some Icelandic woods. It's rustic yet expansive at the same time, and whilst not doing anything particularly inventive, it brings forwards damn catchy indie music that you can't help but tap your foot along to. The second half of the album falls a little flat, almost as if the album runs out of energy after the brilliantly catchy first half, with forgettable but pleasant folksy songs. It's a good, inoffensive, catchy indie album.
