This has been my go-to sleep album the past few weeks, and I mean that in the most endearing way possible.

Sigur Ros has quickly become one of my favorite bands ever since I first heard them back in February. They have so many amazing albums under their belt, with their sophomore output Agaetis Byrjun being my 10th favorite album ever recorded. In the middle of the forest.

Beautiful indeed but i can’t help myself but being dissapointed. Hoppipolla is one of my most beloved songs but the rest isn’t that remarkable and sounds kinda samey. Too much reverb and uninspiring song strucktures are making this album one of the weakest from the band’s whole catalog. Some good moments for sure but that was definitely not enough.

I'm probably gonna repeat myself a lot, but this is yet ANOTHER incredible record. Beautiful, spacey atmosphere, breathtaking vocals from Jónsi and outstanding songwriting make up some of their most emotionally resonant work yet! "Takk..." is further proof that Sigur Rós is one of the greatest names in post-rock!

Also, I've definitely heard "Hoppípolla" before somewhere. I just don't remember where...
