On Back of My Mind, H.E.R. is in total control of her sound, with masterful command of her artistic direction.
The 23-year-old's first album proper is by turns soulful, political, romantic and sometimes just plain fun.
In its length and scope, there’s a feeling here of witnessing H.E.R. in 360 – panoramic R&B that more than justifies the wait, a sumptuous, multi-faceted jewel that seems to reveal fresh colour with each play.
The multi-talented musician arrives in a blaze of hype, and with sensational vocals and brilliant playing, she more than backs it up.
The long-awaited debut from the lauded singer and guitarist is a fine showcase of her immense talent, though the constant balladeering doesn’t really capture what she does best.

Garantindo sua vaga na categoria de "Album of the Year" no Grammy de 2022, H.E.R. finalmente lança seu novo álbum, o qual já é cotado pra desbancar meio mundo nas premiações mesmo sendo mediano e pouco cativante.
H.E.R is a great singer and has some memberaly great features, but her debut LP doesn't really represent how good she could truly be.
