Sometimes it sounds ripped from someone opening for a thrash band and other times it sounds like it came from the NY hardcore scene. Surprisingly, I don't like this as much as I should. It's just bland.
I find this a lot more disappointing than their debut even when the quality of the production has risen significantly. As much as DOOM is experimentally creative as their previous album, many aspects start to seem unnerving due to their shift toward a more avant-garde style. I don't think it's terrible, but they kind of sound more like demos than actual songs. Also, the lyrics are really weird, and some instrumentals can sound really annoying (like The Boys Dog or Poor Boy Condition), however, there are some fun and interesting spots here that make this album worth listening to in its entirety.
