Reminiscent of early C418 at times, this indietronica album is good stuff and hits strong on the nostalgia. Simple but effective and fun record.

Some nice video game music, I can hear this on the backdrop of Stardew Valley or something
A good effort, only eclipsed by it's predecessor.
I did enjoyed Desmond's sophomore album, but after the sleeper hit that it was skatinginplace, which was one of the most lovely surprises we had on the infamous year of 2020 (and if you didn't like you are wrong buddy), my expectations were evidently high. Unfortunately, Hatch doesn't reach the same heights as Desmond's debut, but that doesn't mean it's not a enjoyable experience, it was just less tantalizing this time.
