Babe Rainbow continue to grow upwards, chopping the weeds that once restrained them and grasping at the roots that keep them grounded among the top influences in psychedelic music.

When Babe Rainbow are good, they’re very good, and there’s a lot of promise here. As a cohesive record, Changing Colours ebbs and flows, but it’s fair to say that there are more ups than downs overall.

FAVORITE TRACK: Thinking Like a River

LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: Your Imagination

Changing Colours is a very 70s-inspired summer album. I feel this album is more focused on the vibe it's trying to give off rather than the actual music and I feel that's helpful in this case. Babe Rainbow doesn’t have a sound that is completely new but this is a great summer album to relax to. The songs have a great groovy guitar on most tracks, like Changing Colours and Zeitgeist. Not horrible. Just very boring tbh and is like the Psychedelic Tame Impala meets Cat Stevens version of #coastalcafecore

Babe Rainbow are masters at creating relaxing vibes, and this album is no exception. Changing colors is a fun album to put on and just chill. The album is rooted in '60s psych and '70s funk/disco, but more so in psych. It's a pleasant album, perfect for the beach or smoking weed in a field.
