'Me and a Monkey on the Moon' (what?) isn't a children's album (good) but is a teeny bit more glossy than usual for Felt (mmm, okay...). Some unnecessary backing vocals and sound effects pop up on the first two songs, but the rest feels like the usual ingredients presented slightly differently.

It's smooth, sometimes it's close to an easy listening version of the band's sound - it makes for an agreeable late night listen that at the final count is a bit non-essential, bordering on disposable, ... read more
