There’s no doubt that IDER have blessed us with a bounty of bangers in ‘shame’, proving that their creativity knows no bounds when broadening the horizons of what pop music can be. 

While shame is less ecstatic than its predecessor, it certainly doesn’t find the duo of Megan Markwick and Lily Somerville holding back – there are a multitude more complex and tangled feelings to be unknotted here.

Independently released, ‘shame’ is raw and expressive, the result of infinite creative freedom after leaving their label.

IDER are back at what they do best, providing a glimmering sense of hope that we aren’t alone with our anxieties.

Though ‘shame’ is no wild departure, its voice feels stronger. Cutting loose clearly suits IDER – this independent follow-up finds them free to pick apart all the complicated facets of shame in a slow-burning, smouldering fashion.
