Anne-Marie’s bold personality is finally given a chance to shine on a no-nonsense album that’s overflowing with chart-busting tunes and real world attitude.
New album ‘Therapy’ pushes her story to its next chapter, and while it features some surging highs, it doesn’t quite dispel notions that Anne-Marie has yet to nail down a singular sound she can call her own.
The overall impression is of a super-slick exercise in generic, glossy, team-built, uber-commercial RnB-pop. Still, Anne-Marie has the kind of voice and presence that could make anybody’s day better.
There are a few duds in the mix ... Anne-Marie is at her strongest on the more feisty affairs, which allow her room to swing punches. Thankfully, the majority land with a thud rather than a glance here.
The singer’s vulnerable pop gets only the occasional look-in on a second album with too many guests at the wheel.
Homegrown pop star's second is predictable to the max.
Another generic pop, the lyrics suck, the beats aren't much, the whole album is to explain that you have to go to therapy, instead of having done it you could have already signed up…🌧
I was looking through what new albums I’m going to listen to this week when I stumbled onto Anne-Marie’s newest album, an artist I’ve never heard before but has quite a few big name features, meaning that this is likely an artist that I will likely be hearing more from in the near future. I decided to give “Therapy” a listen to figure out who this girl is, and now that I have I still don’t know who she is.
I have to laugh at the summary section of ... read more

A lot better than her latest album, I wish this was the similar vibe she went with for her latest instead of going for TikTok trending sounds.
Anne-Marie sometimes makes absolute bangers so therefore I wanted to give her album a try. Surprisingly I mostly liked the non-single releases.
'x2' and 'Tell Your Girlfriend' aren´t it with a generic beat trashing on your ex, you´ll do everything he's done to you worse to him, tell his gf what he did. Also the 'Two-hoo-hoo-hoo' in 'x2' feels just to show off vocal ability but not really fitting the song and just repetitive. The same goes for 'Kiss My (Uh-Oh)', just so repetitive, ... read more
