Anne-Marie’s bold personality is finally given a chance to shine on a no-nonsense album that’s overflowing with chart-busting tunes and real world attitude.

Therapy is a well-balanced record that plays to Anne-Marie’s strengths, complete with glossy production and hooks to keep the avid pop fan humming

New album ‘Therapy’ pushes her story to its next chapter, and while it features some surging highs, it doesn’t quite dispel notions that Anne-Marie has yet to nail down a singular sound she can call her own.

The Telegraph

The overall impression is of a super-slick exercise in generic, glossy, team-built, uber-commercial RnB-pop. Still, Anne-Marie has the kind of voice and presence that could make anybody’s day better.

The Irish Times

There are a few duds in the mix ... Anne-Marie is at her strongest on the more feisty affairs, which allow her room to swing punches. Thankfully, the majority land with a thud rather than a glance here.

The British singer’s crisply rendered, competently hooky second album promises a more personal self-portrait, but she ends up disappearing into vague songwriting and anodyne dance-pop production.
Spectrum Culture
A generic pop effort concerned more with generating streams than delivering the themes of empowerment its title proposes.
The Arts Desk

Homegrown pop star's second is predictable to the max.

The Observer

The singer’s vulnerable pop gets only the occasional look-in on a second album with too many guests at the wheel.

Another generic pop, the lyrics suck, the beats aren't much, the whole album is to explain that you have to go to therapy, instead of having done it you could have already signed up…🌧
I was looking through what new albums I’m going to listen to this week when I stumbled onto Anne-Marie’s newest album, an artist I’ve never heard before but has quite a few big name features, meaning that this is likely an artist that I will likely be hearing more from in the near future. I decided to give “Therapy” a listen to figure out who this girl is, and now that I have I still don’t know who she is.

I have to laugh at the summary section of ... read more

Which saddens me most about this album is how good it could (but it never will) be. Anne-Marie is a pop artist from U.K that I adored when she debuted, I used to listen to her songs all the time and I actually loved her tropical-house back in 2017 and such, here in 2021 she outdated. 'Therapy' is a self reflection, cause she clearly needs one, this generic ass record is an absolut miss, boring as fuck, it feels like anything and nothing at all, just a void of pure plastic boring ed sheeran ... read more
