Not to start this review in a negative light, but I am marginally disappointed with this LP. Especially given the fact that the snippets that I heard were pretty nice. Luckily, this self titled is not a complete dumpster fire.

What always made The Lumineers intriguing was that they stood out from the crowd; especially given where the music scene was back in 2012. The duo was a breath of fresh air in a prominently EDM and Hip-Hop dominated landscape. Of course, I'm referencing this stand out ... read more

I am trying to listen to some new albums so I can put together a good hour of folk for a set every week and I'm trying to do my due diligence and listen to the bane of everyone's existence. But it's exactly as everyone said. The issue isn't that they make me want to listen to other folk artists. The issue is that this makes me want to listen to Arcade Fire.

This album is very hit or miss with the songs. Some of them capture me and and just amazing listens and the other half feel kinda boring and underwhelming. I think lyrically this album is a fun listen more then anything and it gives some comfy vibes at some points.
