Despite some admirable crossovers into UK Drill and Hip House, 'HARAM!' is an absolute mess, a blatantly unfinished, boring, grating and flavourless mess. Even if we ignore the terrible vocal filter the songs at the core just suck because the production is utterly trite, colourless and bland.
this is just disrespectful to armand hammer & the alchemist
Whether you like the material or not, or if the execution of the ideas are effective, you have to commend GoldLink for at least trying to make something different from the norm we hear in hip hop today. HARAM! is certainly muddled at various points, opting for an eclectic range of sounds that don't seem to find accordance with one another and likely would have benefitted from one concrete idea, but at least some of the disparate concepts come out with some suggestion of potential when digging ... read more
2nd best rap album titled "HARAM" released in 2021.

GoldLink tries to get grittier and more "raw" as he incorporates Grime/UK Hip Hop and Trap influences into his latest release. Predictably, GoldLink fails miserably and makes one of the most messy albums of the year.

Goldlink delivers again with HARAM!, drawing upon a global collection of genres and molding them into an album that feels still distinctly Goldlink. It bridges At What Cost and Diaspora into another musical chapter for Goldlink that seems to move at a breakneck speed.
