There is a polish and an assurance in a song such as Drops that makes a strong impact, giving the duo the firmest possible base from which to build.

Kin is not an assertive album, nor is it surprising, but it's as solid an aesthetic as you can expect of two artists mostly new to this genre.

Consequence of Sound

Fans of electronic music take note: iamamiwhoami is a powerhouse, and they have the songs (and videos) to prove it.

The 405

I know that kin has all the elements for a brilliant, genre-busting, danceable art spectacle, but I'm not sure that it actually is.

kin by iamamiwhoami (try saying that three times fast) is quite the hypnotic, serene and often beautiful album. flushed with moments of electric and pop transcendence that creates an engaging and polished atmosphere. there's not much for me to say other than it's a recommend album if you're a fan of electro-pop and art pop, and that this is an audiovisual album which means to get the best experience i recommend also to check out the videos for each track of which you'll find on youtube
Esse album me traz muitas lembranças de 2012/2013
foi uma época de descobrimento musical muito boa pra mim
boa parte do meu amadurecimento musical foi formado nessa época e definitivamente esse album ajudou muito nesse processo.
Only a few songs stood out to me, the rest was pretty forgettable. I might have to listen to it with the visuals.
It's not an easy album, but when you understand you will have one amazing experience listening to it. The concept it's about passing through depression and healing in the end. The visuals are incredible, and for those who are open minded will be transported to another realm.
A dreamy electronic masterpiece, filled with a video experience rarely seen by any artist. Jonna Lee and her crew bring the weird into fantastic proportion.
