For a fan of Angels & Airwaves, this album will probably blow your mind. As a casual fan like myself, even I can’t overlook the refined songwriting here. Its cohesive atmosphere is matched only by its densely packed, multi-faceted instrumentation.

The end result is not only an album that will delight diehard Tom DeLonge fans, but one that lovers of anthemic and occasionally experimental alt.rock will enjoy too.

NME

Polished but with plenty of grit and light on ego, it’s the most relatable this band has ever been.

Big, bold and ambitious, it’s both a welcome return and a statement of intent.

There’s enough for fans to enjoy across ‘Lifeforms’, but it is not as lofty as it perhaps thinks itself to be.

This might not be the most groundbreaking pop rock album, but it's a mesmerizing testament to what Tom Delonge is capable of doing at his age. Angels & Airwaves' Lifeforms is a cute, nostalgic, cathartic experience for pop-punk oldheads.

I was reading a thread in r/poppunkers about the best songwriters in the genre, and a few people did list Tom Delonge. I thought that was very appropriate. This album shows exactly why those chatters were correct: Tom is capable of still to this day ... read more
