Psychedelic Punk Noise Alternative Rock Fusion. That is the best what to sum up this album because it is insane and for this album to come out in 1985 it was well ahead of its time. My only downside to this is the vocals aren't as well implemented as i would like. They feel drowned out and dragged. However, dinosaur Jr. debut is a solid debut which showcase talent and impressive ideas.

There weren’t too many albums in the mid 80s that really came close to Dinosaur’s sound and that’s saying a lot due to the fact that it was released in a time of experimentation in sound and delivery. You can hear Dinosaur Jr.’s hardcore roots pulsing through these songs and it feels unique and exciting, even if the record loses its steam in random areas. It most definitely is an interesting debut for a very interesting group.
