As much as the stereotype of pop albums as singles-plus-filler just doesn’t hold any more (if it ever did), it makes more sense to judge them on their highs rather than their consistency.

I tried to not be biased and this album is actually good and I think it’s a grower although it’s very generic and it sounds just like the music other artists were putting out at the time
