Kerrang!
A staggering statement of endurance, diversity and sheer unbending power. Bow down to the kings.

DIY
While with their previous records, their technical talent was unquestionable, it also, at times, became challenging for the more casual listener. With ‘Conquering’, however, the band have hit on a sweet spot.

The Line of Best Fit
Despite its love for the retro, it's still a modern and cutting edge work that feels essential for the scene right now. It's great to see a band from the back-ends of UK hardcore make a statement as gratifyingly massive as this one, that will hopefully grant them the audiences they deserve.

The Guardian

The brilliant Woking band get heavier than ever, causing motion sickness with their animalistic, groove-laden songs.

Metal Injection
The album is a prime example of a band retaining their hardcore roots while flexing their songwriting chops. Not only that, but it proves that all a style of metal needs to endure is a band that’s pushing themselves to become the best they can be.

A few dud attempts at more hooks and traditional chorus’ aside - this album fucking rips. These guys have really perfected an amazing mix of metalcore, nu-metal and groove metal. I’m also pretty certain Jones has the best vocals in metal right now.

Fav Track: Sun Up To Sun Down
Least Fav Track: Mark Of The Grave

Yeah this thing was really really really really enjoyable. They play to their strengths, they know what works besides some cringeworthy vocals (looking at you intro of twist the blade). Nice blend of Groove and Nu Metal as well as Hard- and Metalcore, makes for a fun conglomerate of songs, where every track can shine in some way.

I hadn’t heard of Employed to Serve, but how could I not check out a metal album with a cover this fascinating? I’m glad I did, as this thoroughly slays. This record will beat the absolute shit out of you with its immense sound. The lead guitar riffs are unlike anything I have heard in a recent metalcore or hardcore release, they manage to be catchy in an absolute cacophony of sound. This album has two vocalists, with the primary being Justine Jones. I think this sort of goes ... read more
