A few dud attempts at more hooks and traditional chorus’ aside - this album fucking rips. These guys have really perfected an amazing mix of metalcore, nu-metal and groove metal. I’m also pretty certain Jones has the best vocals in metal right now.

Yeah this thing was really really really really enjoyable. They play to their strengths, they know what works besides some cringeworthy vocals (looking at you intro of twist the blade). Nice blend of Groove and Nu Metal as well as Hard- and Metalcore, makes for a fun conglomerate of songs, where every track can shine in some way.
I hadn’t heard of Employed to Serve, but how could I not check out a metal album with a cover this fascinating? I’m glad I did, as this thoroughly slays. This record will beat the absolute shit out of you with its immense sound. The lead guitar riffs are unlike anything I have heard in a recent metalcore or hardcore release, they manage to be catchy in an absolute cacophony of sound.
