The album doesn’t work out pain in song but rather releases pain through song, flinging the emptiness out into the spaces we breathe.

AllMusic

The emotional thread that strings the songs on Holiday together transcends the elements that make the sounds.

Pitchfork

Holiday can fool you into thinking Principe isn't alone; it's a rich and lush record where most of the textures could still be conceivably looped and performed by one guy.

Beats Per Minute

More variety would help his cause, but Holiday is a graceful, emotionally affluent debut.

Consequence of Sound

“Soft Light Rush” and the Holiday re-release explain exactly what they want to: that Port St. Willow is its own project, and one to watch at that.

At times this recording is compelling, entrancing even with its sheer beauty; occasionally though it drags.

☆☆☆ ~ Great and respectable work. Even though the whole project doesn't manages the virtuosity and versatility as a majestic album effectively does, the overall feeling was succesfully positive on me.
