From the lavish arrangements and production, to Minnie's impressively wide vocal range, this album sounds like it rose from a bed of flowers and flew off into the sunset. Seriously, how is she singing like that?? Mariah Carey who???

Lovely soul/folk music with a whimsical, orchestral flair. Miss Riperton flexes her vocal range throughout the record, reaching some impressive opera-worthy highs in a few spots.

I’ve never written a single review to this degree, but when I came to rate this album I was completely shocked by the low amount of ratings it has received thus far. I mean, there’s no question that Minnie Riperton wasn’t an influential force within music, R&B/Soul specifically but influential to all artists.
