Ahhh Death's debut, the most important album for setting up the beloved subgenre of metal, Death Metal, with some impressive vocal delivery by Chuck Schuldiner with some strong influence of thrashs till running through the track list creates some excellent, raw and aggressive riffs.

Death are perhaps the most famous and important bands in death metal. Now that I'm starting to go through their discography, I can definitely say that their debut has impressed me a lot.

Sure it's rather samey, but you can't deny how fast, pummeling, aggressive, and chaotic this album is. It's quite the impressive showcase of talent for a first album.

Closing Thoughts: Really really solid - especially for a debut record. This was raw as hell, with some of the loudest instrumentals from an 80s metal album I've heard in a bit. The sound ran a little dry near the end and if this is one of their worsts, I cannot wait to delve deeper into the "Death" discography!
