With this unexpected EP release highly anticipated, fans should rest assured that they will not be dissatisfied by this compelling new chapter from Nothing But Thieves.
In a similar vein to their 2018 EP following “Broken Machine”, Nothing But Thieves have once again released an EP not even a year following their 2020 album “Moral Panic”. Being billed as a successor to that album, I was expecting more electronic and pop influenced tunes about modern society. However, “Moral Panic II” gives a left hook by only being similar thematically, instead choosing to go a much heavier route musically.

As I listen to this new NBT release I am reminded of how much I enjoyed 2017’s Broken Machine LP.

Man this thing is hella consistent and oozing with grandiosity and futuristic vibes. Miracle baby is legit one of their best songs to date, the build up towards the end is a freaking ear worm with the synths only ascending you higher. Futureproof kicks off the ep wonderfully with that blazing guitar riff and Conner’s killer vocals. The closer is also one hell of a track that competes with some of NBT’s best tracks.

It's not even a full-length album, but way better than the last Imagine Dragons’ work. I think, they deserve their success.
