I was actually surprised when Shana Cleveland continued with La Luz after her fantastic solo album. no offense to her bandmates but her talent level always seems a notch above the rest of the band. that's more about how great she is rather than a jab at them. the new factor in the mix now, is, well, the mix, and production in general. Adrian Younge brings an orthogonal vision to the band's sound and the results are ... mixed.

very bland and almost lethargic at points... Severe lack of energy overall, tho there's still some good moments
Lazy, languorous, 70's psychedelia. Sounding over-bored at times, La Luz fails to match the energy, spirit, or weirdness of Shana Cleveland's 2019 solo release Worm Moon.
