Is this...... Post-lounge??
I don't know how to categorise this, but I fucking love it! Heavy on savoury, droney textures. Reminds me lf a bunch of different things, but Stereolab somehow manage to be their own thing. I still am baffled by how exciting a song like Jenny Ondioline is.

Really just a major step up for the band, even after a really good debut.

Starts off really strong, but gets repetitive at the end.

Feels like a transitional album for Stereolab in which they're adding a lot more experimental sounds to the formula. Really interesting and there's some great tunes on here; Pack Yr Romantic Mind is awesome as is Golden Ball, Crest, and the epic Jenny Odidoline which the album seems to be built around. This gets me looking forward to more in the Stereolab discography.
