Like if we’re gonna be completely honest, green days debut is a bit of a mess, the production is kinda shambolic and BJA’s vocals are off, but there’s a somewhat passionate and ‘fun’ performance behind all of these flaws
Dookie may be their best but this is a personal favorite of mine to the point where I have a tattoo of the stop watch on the innersleeve. Their raw, goofy, stoner punk aesthetics and sound is exactly for my taste. I dont care what all yall dickasses say, this is a contender for their best.

Green Day's debut is uh... quite a mess.
The production feels really cheap and rushed, and Billie's vocals most of the time are really uninteresting. A lot of these songs, even the ones that are on the best tracks, aren't really all that special tbh. But that doesn't mean that this album doesn't have it's moments, like "Going to Pasalacqua" or "Green Day", where a cool riff comes through, but still, there really isn't much here I couldn't get from any other artist. i like the fact that it sounds messier than their other works, it has the vibe of a bunch of kids fucking around making bangers rather than a coordinated record. that vibe only gets it so far though, because this album isn't all too memorable all things considered beyond it being green day's debut.
