What Sunday in Heaven ultimately reveals about evolution is clear: Even though it takes time to make thoughtful and progressive art, the wait always proves to be worth it.
Great work but 'Dance For Love' and 'Golden' are for real two fucking perfect disco songs.
Sunday In Heaven is a sweet album, but a serious gut punch of emotion.
Zella Day has created a very pleasant listening experience on this record, brimming with impressive performances and raw emotion. I love the way her voices cracks during some songs; it sounds as if she screaming out, giving the vocal booth absolutely everything she has. Very enjoyable.
Favorite track: Golden
Final verdict: Emotions running high all the way through a solid project/10
I haven't heard much about Zella Day, to be honest, but this was an interesting project, not every song is that strong, but it has its highlights.
