Straightforward fast-paced pop with rough thrash edges ... proving that the snarky rock&roll nerd with more chops than the jocks was not just a mid-'90s phenomenon.

All in all, it's a sound debut that shows exactly that you could and should expect from a pop-punk debut. With a bit more experience, Wheatus could become a real force to be reckoned with.

‘Teenage Dirtbag’, admittedly, is a funny, hooky evocation of an awkward adolescent crush, but it remains their one and only decent song. With any luck, we’ll never hear from them again.

Ha ha! You probably thought I abandoned reviewing these! Not true! I mean I did....but now I didn't!
Anyways this album fucking sucks but in a way that I think is really cute. Like yes the man has an annoying voice and yes the lyrics are probably kinda shit...but idk. Is it really that much worse than all other Pop Punk? The melodies are nice and catchy. Like the opener Truffles and Sunshine. Both fun and we'll constructed guitar melodies and they work really well with the singers ... read more
Hell way better than expected. Actually a solid pop punk album.
Sadly this band was a massive one hit wonder, they could have been very big.
