One of the key members of two incredible rock bands, one of which you could argue had three perfect albums, Tom Morello has more than earned his spot as a guitar legend and one of the most influential artist’s over my musical journey. So it won’t matter at all that his latest album, “The Atlas Underground Fire”, is basically a dumpster fire in the grand scheme of things - but it still is a dumpster fire.

This LP > whole Rage Against the Machine discography
As shitty as The First Atlas Underground... Springsteen & Vedder covering AC/DC? ; Damian Marley on Tom Morello reggae-rock guitar? Tom should stick to being Springsteen's touring guitarist. The only decent cut was the Phantogram song.
So, when I saw that a new Tom Morello had just released, I got kind of excited. You see, I haven't listened to anything with Morello in it since my Rage Against The Machine obsession. I was curious to hear the sound of Tom Morello in 2021.
I can't say I'm all that excited or curious anymore. It seems that in 2021, he is the DJ Khaled of rock music, just inviting big names to perform watered-down versions of the music they would usually make, and collecting those recordings to present them on a ... read more
